The CenterCutCook recipe site is created by Ashley; she is the author and photographer behind the site. She has no culinary training and doesn't claim to be an expert. She does, however, enjoy cooking and loves experimenting with new recipes and taking photos of her recipe creations. Sometimes the recipes she cooks turn out to be flops. Other times they turn out better than she ever expected, and those are the recipes she shares on the site. CenterCutCook was started in December of 2011. Her husband, Ryan, is her number one taste tester. She has two adorable puppies that would love to help taste test the recipes she makes if she'd let them.
They are surrounded by world class restaurants and enjoy trying new places, but more often than not, they can be found enjoying their meals at home. CenterCutCook is a collection of her favorite recipes. She enjoys finding recipes to try, and adapting them to her tastes. Occasionally, she gets ambitious and writes her own recipes. Each recipe that is posted on the CenterCutCook site has been cooked and photographed by Ashley. Her cooking philosophy, in a nutshell, is to keep it simple. She is the type of person that, unfortunately, lacks patience at times. This includes when she is in the kitchen, therefore, her cooking philosophy is all about making quick and simple meal recipes that are delicious and healthy, with the occasional indulgence.
She is also the type of person that likes a challenge once in a while. This means that about 85 percent of her recipes are quick and simple, and about 15 percent might require an excessive amount of ingredients, or a larger chunk of time than she is typically comfortable with. She takes pride in making as much as she can from scratch. Occasionally, she takes a little help from the store, but she likes knowing that what she is putting in her body and what she is giving to those she loves and care about. The rewards that come from menu planning and preparing recipes are worth it, even if it may be time consuming. On the site, you will find all sorts of recipe ideas from 30-minute meal recipes, appetizer recipes, snack recipes, bread recipes, grilling recipes, holiday recipes, breakfast recipes, casserole recipes and more.
