Are you a chocolate lover? Me too! From chocolate chips, cookies to chocolate bars- I love them all. Tired of the same old dessert that you are serving? Would you be interested to try an exciting chocolaty twist? You are in luck because we are featuring a recipe that is unique, tasty and has the chocolate goodness that we are looking for. This recipe is called 'German Chocolate Macaroons.' It might sound a little complicated to you, but it’s not. You’ll be surprised that the procedure is easy as 1-2-3 and the ingredients are simple too. Maybe some of these are already in your kitchen.

Are you curious to know what German chocolate is? It is a dark baking chocolate developed by Samuel German in 1852. He thought that this type of chocolate would be convenient for bakers as the sugar is already added to it. German chocolate is sweeter than semi-sweet chocolate and contains a blend of chocolate liquor, sugar, cocoa butter, flavorings, and lecithin. The most famous recipe that contains the German chocolate is the German chocolate cake.

This recipe makes use of pecans. This is a Native American nut from the Hickory family. It has a buttery rich kernel that is golden brown to the outside and beige inside. Pecans have an over 70 percent fat content that is more than any other nut. These are also available in variety of sizes like the mammoth, extra large, large, medium, small and midget. Make sure to use condensed milk and not the evaporated milk. What is the difference between the two? Condensed milk is thicker and sweeter than the evaporated milk. Take a look in the can to check if it says condensed milk or evaporated milk. Evaporated milk is not sweetened like condensed milk is.
